Kilcairn is a farm wedding venue that offers an escape from city life.
Nestled between the Elandskloof Mountains and Kasteelberg, located on the quiet banks of the Berg River, Kilcairn boasts beautiful scenery and a serene atmosphere and a venue with an old country feel.
Surrounded by orchards and vineyards this venue provides a rustic, yet classic environment for any occasion from weddings to birthday parties and stork teas.
Kilcairn is situated between Wellington & Gouda on the R44, just outside the small railway station town of Hermon and can accommodate up to 120 guests with a dance floor.
The lovely gardens, with little nooks and shaded areas, are perfect for ceremonies for anything from 20 guests to 120 guests, but for those who prefer an indoor ceremony the smaller hall, adjacent to the reception hall, can be converted into a small chapel. The courtyard, studded with oak trees, provides a perfect space for pre-drinks and canapés.
The main hall is a gorgeous canvas for any reception with high reed ceilings, exposed wooden rafters and chandeliers. Kilcairn has an in-house décor team that is always happy to help and give advice. The venue is equipped with air conditioners for those hot summer days and two massive fireplaces to keep a winter wedding warm and cosy.
Kilcairn is a wedding photographer’s dream. With the Berg River, vineyards, orchards, wheat fields, a few horses, stunning eucalyptus lanes and a railway running through the farm there is no shortage of gorgeous photo opportunities.
