The main attraction is the abundant wildlife of the Pilanesberg Game Reserve. The Big 5 and most other large mammals of Southern Africa are represented in the reserve. Bakubung Bush Lodge offers a wide range of other activities. Whether you want to relax or be more active – all needs are catered for.

CONFERENCE VENUES

Bakubung offers conference and banqueting facilities for 14 to 120 delegates. Slide projectors, portable screens, flip charts and internet access are provided.

FACILITIES

Bakubung Bush Lodge provides large swimming pool and a variety of sports facilities provide guests with the opportunity to play cricket, tennis and volley ball. A touch screen TV in the game office marks recent animal sightings. The boma is a social place where many stories of the bush are shared over a roaring fire. ACCOMMODATION

Bakubung bush lodge offers accommodation in 76 Standard Studio Rooms (1 wheelchair accessible room) which are equipped with an en-suite bathroom and shower and open up onto a balcony or patio. The air-conditioned come with a two single beds or a king size bed. Views of the hippo pools come as a bonus.

HOT AIR BALLOON

Experiencing the Pilanesberg National Park in a hot air balloon is an incredibly tranquil experience. The balloon travels with the wind so you will experience no turbulences and the only noise will hear is the occasional firing of the burner. The elevated view from the balloon allows you to appreciate the magnificence of the Pilanesberg Alkaline Ring Complex. The unique geological feature was born from volcanic activity and now forms concentric rings that are characteristic of the park
