Simonsvlei nestles in the picturesque Groot Drakenstein and Paarl Valley with the magnificent Simonsberg (Simon’s Mountain) as backdrop. The cellar also offers stunning views of Paarl Mountain, the second largest granite outcrop in the world. Simonsvlei is only 40 minutes from Cape Town. The main grape varieties are: Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Chenin Blanc & Chardonnay. Simonsvlei undertakes never to compromise on quality, but to keep it as our prime consideration through all areas of activity, from the planting of the vineyard stock to maintaining impeccable standards.

Simonsvlei Winery and restaurant is the ideal venue to host your dream wedding. With a perfect setting complete with mountain views, rolling lawns and a duck pond and now the added bonus of a top class restaurant on the premises, you can’t go wrong.

Our venue comfortably seats 80 guests. The adjoining area seats a further 50 guests and our enclosed courtyard area under the vines is also suited to extra seating or a lounge area, ideal for smokers. Both venues open onto a lovely verandah and lawn area with lovely views and are perfect for pre drinks and canapés and also for your ceremony.

Our venues are fully air-conditioned and the larger of the two has a fireplace. We sell Simonsvlei wines at cellar door price and have a full bar available. Menu prices are dependent on your choices – it’s your day so we are flexible and tailor make menus to suit your needs and budget.

We have an extended range of options available for your big day. All of this situated in the picturesque town of Paarl. Make an appointment to come and view this beautiful venue.

Conference venue

Simonsvlei has an outstanding dedicated conference venue that cater comfortably for up to 100 people. Usage of whiteboard, data projector, electronic screen, fax and photocopy facilities are available.

Lunches can be arranged. Eat@Simonsvlei does all the catering and are flexible to suit your needs and budget. Several different seating and table layouts to suit your needs. Premises are fitted with air-conditioning. Delegates are provided with mints and bottled water. Onsite parking and various break away areas are available.

Simonsvlei Restaurant – Eat@Simonsvlei

Eat@Simonsvlei is a relaxed restaurant where you can either dine al fresco on the veranda overlooking the lush lawns, pond and ducks or in the air-conditioned restaurant with big windows so you don’t miss out on the surrounding mountain views.

The menu is fresh country food with a Cape flair focusing on wholesome hearty food that changes seasonally, offering generous portions and value for money. Simonsvlei top quality wines are sold at cellar door price, no mark up.

Simonsvlei has a large and secure kids play area allowing parents to be able to see their children play from the restaurant.

We offer wine tasting, chocolate and wine tasting, cellar tours (only by appointment), a restaurant, picnics, big children’s play area as well as conference and function facilities. Pensioners Day every second Tuesday of the month (reservations important).
